Trial Bay Gaol is a excellent place to see a little of Australia's history. We were very lucky to have found this little gem during our visit to Port Macquarie. Kirra Beach is mostly frequented by locals but is another great spot if you or some of the family are really experienced and avid surfers. Forster Bicentennial Walk/ Frewins Walk The best place to start is the Forster Bicentennial Walk. This was the one Coffs Harbour attraction that I knew for many years before visiting. Popped in for a quick snack and beverage when viewing the lighthouse. The local Surf lifesaving Club patrol this beach. In addition, it has four huge thrill slides, two inflatable slides and a kids water park. Lots of places to eat closeby and nice sunsets. An urban beach found in the neighbourhood of Coolangatta, part of Queensland's Gold Coast, Kirra Beach is a relaxed and down to earth destination that continues to exude the surf vibe that made it famous around the world. Wander through lush tropical rainforest to the scenic bridge/waterfall/cave and also admire the glowworms which inhabit the cave. There is a lovely river mouth which is perfect for kids and of course plenty of beach. There are variety of birds and reptiles here. One of the best natural tourist attraction place I have ever visited. It offers the best chance I have experienced to get up close to these animals in a way that is as animal friendly as it can be with small crowds and without paying a fortune. The views were awesome.
